We need this information for organization of your transportation from and to the airport (if you arrive by airplane). The participants will be met in the airport and transported to the hotels or the University Student House (according your accommodation). If you arrive to the Sheremetievo airport, please proceed to the very middle of the arrival hall in front of the information desk (=indicator board) where you will be met by a representative of the ACAT'2002 Organizing committee (with the ACAT'2002 poster in hand). This meeting point is marked on a scheme of the arrival hall available on our Web page. In case you arrive to the Domodedovo airport, please watch our guy with the ACAT'2002 poster in hand in the airport building just after passing the custom control. The campus of Moscow State University and its main building (where the Workshop sessions will take place) is situated near the metro station "Universitet" (that is, University); see Moscow metro map on our web page. This district is called "Leninskie gory" (officially) or "Vorob'evy gory" (the confusion with the names appeared because the place was renamed during the Soviet period). From the metro station you may reach the MSU main building by walk (about 15 min) or by bus (No. 1, 113, 119 or 661); see the scheme of the University campus on our Web-page. Please use the entrance to the main building from the side of Lomonosovski avenue (closest to the MSU Cultural Center and opposite to the Moskva-river side) and then watch straight ahead (about 20 m from the entrance) an announcement about the ACAT'2002 meeting with the arrow pointing to the direction of the location of the Organizing Committee and Workshop sessions. In case of urgency please call to mobile 8 903 774 7463 (Andrei Demichev). ************************************************************************* REGISTRATION and OPENING SESSION The registration of participants will be arranged on June, 23 at 15.00-20.00 and on June, 24 starting from 8.30 a.m. onwards in the foyer of the MSU Cultural Center (in the MSU main building, Leninskie gory; entrance from the side of Lomonosovski av., then go about 20 m ahead and upstairs to the right; please notice that in the Russian usage the entrance level is called "1st floor" - not "ground floor", - so that the foyer is situated at the 2d floor). The Opening Session of the Workshop will start in the Large Hall of the Cultural Center at 10.00 a.m. Participants who will attend the tutorials on 22d and 23d of June are invited to register oneself during these days (also in the foyer of the MSU Cultural Center). ************************************************************************ TUTORIALS The tutorials will start on June, 22 at 10.00 a.m. The final schedule of the tutorials as well as location of auditories where the lectures to be given, will be available on our Web page by June, 17 (Monday) and as well all the information will be hang out on June, 22 in the foyer of the MSU Cultural Center from 9.00 a.m. ************************************************************************ EQUIPMENT FOR THE TALK PRESENTATIONS, INTERNET CONNECTION Multimedia projectors (e.g., for presentations by computers or notebooks in the Power Point format) and overheads (for transparencies) will be available for oral presentations. If you wish, you may send to us (by email) files with your talk or bring it on diskettes or on CD. For the poster presentation you will have in your disposal about 1 sq. meter (for example, 12 - 15 standard A4 sheets) of a board in the foyer of the Cultural Center. The materials can be hanged on starting from 24th of June and the poster session will continue three days (June 24, 25 and 26). In the foyer of the Cultural Center, 14-16 PCs as well as a number of connectors for notebooks will be available for the Internet connection and demonstration of programs. A wireless connection to the Internet in the foyer and the Large Hall of the Cultural Center where the plenary and one of the parallel section will take place will be also organized. Please do not forget take your wireless PCMCIA adapters with your notebooks. Connection protocol is IEEE 802.11b (compatible with most wireless adapters). *********************************************************************** PAYMENTS The participation fee and the payment for the accomodation in the University Student House (if you will stay in the USH) are acceptable in US dollars, EUROs or Russian rubles (cash). Travellers cheques are not acceptable for these payments. ************************************************************************ ACCOMMODATION IN THE UNIVERSITY STUDENT HOUSE (if you have chosen this accomodation) If you travel on your own, please arrive to the Organizing Committee room (see the TRAVEL INFORMATION above) and we shall arrange your accommodation in the USH. Since for the reservation of the rooms we had to prepay for you in advance, you will pay (in cash, 10 USD/per night) and get a receipt from the ACAT'2002 Organizing Committee.
